Slow Startup

can Apify improve initialization of actor runs? We noticed, quite often, it takes 10+ secs to initialize the container before the crawler can get started. Sometimes, it hangs forever... Or any suggestion that can be done on our end? We've tried starting multiple runs but it didn't fix 100%. We saw failed runs in a row.

an example ^^, we saw 3 runs failed in a row. They got stuck at "Ready" forever,

It's usually get resolved after like 3~5 minutes, it's not really forever, but yes, it is a problem and we are aware of it. That said - it's currently a priority, and the team is already working on the fixes and optimizations, should be solved in the coming days.

It basically happens during some peak loads, but as mentioned, it should be solved very soon.

Smaller container should be faster to start, so under i.e. crawlee&cheerio you can try to reduce settings to 128Mb
