Apify Store discounts (tiered pricing) beta launch @everyone 🎉
We’re launching the next step in improving monetization models for developers and users.
Many developers already work with large or enterprise customers who require better pricing and direct negotiations with both Apify and the developer. This often creates friction and delays closing deals.
With the launch of Apify Store discounts (tiered pricing), this is no longer necessary. Each Actor can now offer multiple pricing tiers:
- FREE (Free users)
- BRONZE (Starter plan users)
- SILVER (Scale plan users)
- GOLD (Business plan users)
You can define different prices for each tier. While optional, we recommend offering progressively lower prices for higher tiers.
This approach can significantly increase the appeal of your Actor to enterprise customers, who may spend thousands or even tens of thousands of dollars.
At the same time, you can raise the price for the free tier to help reduce spam usage.
What are the benefits of tiered pricing for developers?
- Better pricing for large customers. No negotiation is needed, which improves retention.
- Lower platform costs for higher tiers, resulting in better profit margins.
- Better placement on the Apify Store homepage. If you opt in early, we’ll feature your Actor on the homepage. Tiered pricing Actors will also get higher rankings than non-tiered ones - permanently.
- The first 20 developers to adopt tiered pricing will receive an Apify cap with their username embroidered on it.
- The deadline for Apify Store promotion and the cap is June 30, 2025, or until 20 developers join - whichever comes first.
