Store Ranking Algorithm

Hey folks, Can you please help me to understand how the Apify store ranking algorithm works and what I can do to optimise things? In particular, I was under the impression that I would gain a significant ranking boost by using tiered pricing, as per @ellativity's announcement on 13 August: "Tiered pricing Actors get higher rankings than non-tiered ones." Given that only a tiny fraction of Store listings currently use tiered pricing (less than 100 out of 7,000+), I figured that it shouldn't be too hard for an actor that uses tiered pricing to rank well.
But, currently, my actor YouTube Ultimate SCraper is ranking around 200th for the search term "YouTube Scraper" and just as poorly for other related search terms. Ranking high above it are many other actors (some of which are not even related to YouTube) with flat-rate pricing, low ratings, poor issue response times and inactive codebases. What's happening here, and how can I fix things?

Hi @TimCoulterđź‘‹ You make a good point! I will say that while tiered pricing Actors get higher rankings, that isn't the only factor that plays into Actor rankings. The good news is we are actively addressing the question of transparency, and are almost ready to launch a new feature that will give you insights into your Actor ranking in your dev dashboard, so you will be able to take action to improve it. I don't have an exact timeline, but it's impending enough that it's exciting to be able to get to talk about it! I hope this will help to ameliorate your concerns and increase the visibility of your Actors.

Thanks for your response, @Ella. That's good news and I definitely look forward to the launch of that new feature.
